What is Mesh and how does it work?

Stryker features both Mesh and Bluetooth® Intercom communication platforms, so that users can connect with any Sena headset for rider-to-rider communication. Mesh Intercom brings robust, reliable connections and flexible intercom message routing with significant enhancements to Sena’s Mesh algorithm. Mesh offers an unprecedented level of intercom audio quality with two Mesh settings, Multi-Channel Open Mesh Intercom™ and Group Mesh Intercom™.

Multi-Channel Open Mesh Intercom (Open Mesh) features the industry’s first Mesh Intercom™ channel system. Similar to standard handheld or CB radios, Mesh allows users to switch between nine channels when operating in Open Mesh mode. Open Mesh offers a simple, single push of a button to click-to-connect to the Mesh intercom network. It also supports a near-limitless number of users within a range of up to 5 miles / 8 km (min. 6 riders @ 1 mi / 1.6 km intervals).

For a private group conversation, Stryker offers Group Mesh Intercom mode. Group Mesh supports a single, private group for up to 24 participants and the same range as Open Mesh. To ensure privacy, only invited users can join the Group Mesh chat.

Traditional four-way Bluetooth® Intercom mode continues to be an option for connecting the Stryker to other Sena Bluetooth-enabled users within a 1.2-mile range. Additionally, users can pair with a Sena Bluetooth Intercom user and ‘bridge’ them into a Mesh 2.0 intercom conversation.

Do I need to be connected to a cellular service for the comms to work?

No, you do not need to be connected to a cellular network for the communications to work on the Sena Stryker. The helmet uses built-in Bluetooth and Mesh Intercom technology, allowing riders to communicate directly with each other without the need for a cellular connection.

How can I connect to my buddies who have different units?

Universal Intercom allows you to have two-way intercom conversations with users of non-Sena Bluetooth headsets. You can pair your headset with only one non-Sena headset at a time. The intercom distance depends on the performance of the Bluetooth headset to which it is connected. When a non-Sena Bluetooth headset is paired with the Sena headset, if another Bluetooth device is paired via Second Mobile Phone Pairing, it will be disconnected.


 

What if the helmet doesn't fit?

If your helmet does not fit, you can contact Sena customer support for guidance on adjusting the fit or exchanging the helmet for a different size.

How long will it take my Stryker to arrive?

If all items are in stock, the order typically ships within 3 business days. Free ground shipping within the contiguous United States (Lower 48 states and the District of Columbia) for orders of at least $99. Alaska and Hawaii are excluded from the free shipping offer.

We do not offer international shipping (including Canada), and shipping to US territories, PO Boxes, re-shippers, or package forwarding services. Returns & Replacements

If you are not satisfied with your purchase of a Sena product, please visit our helpdesk page at support.sena.com for a Return Material Authorization (RMA) request within 30 calendar days of the purchase of the product. If the item is returned unopened in the original box, we will exchange it or offer you a refund based on your original method of payment. Please note that the refund is best only for the product amount. Not for shipping & handling. The product must be returned to the Sena warehouse within 30 business days of the issuance of the RMA. All products must be packed in the original, unmarked packaging including any accessories, manuals, documentation, and registration that shipped with the product.

Any used merchandise cannot be returned for a refund. Any merchandise which has been taken out for a ride is considered used and cannot be returned either. Please try on your motorcycle helmets indoors first to make sure they fit before actual riding.
